SUPPLENESS ASSESSMENTS will take place on: Saturday September 24th, 2016 during off-ice classes.
Suppleness is a key element of the long term athlete development model.
GSC’s suppleness assessments are competed 2-3 times a year. The assessments provide formative feedback to skaters and coaches which highlights both strengths and areas to develop. Monitoring suppleness helps coaches to take advantage of the suppleness “window of opportunity” (I.e., The time in growth when it is easiest to develop suppleness) and monitor suppleness to prevent injury.
ALL skaters (even those that normally do not attend Saturday off-ice classes) are encouraged to come on the 24th to participate in the suppleness assessment.
