Stefanie Partridge has been involved in figure skating for over 28 years as a skater, technical specialist, professional coach, mental training consultant, and athletic trainer. As a skater, she competed at a national and international level: Stefanie is the 1997 Canadian Junior Silver Medalist. As an athletic trainer, she presented at the 2007 and 2008 Ontario Youth Camps, and the 2013 Skate Canada National Coaching Conference.
Stefanie completed her BSc in Human Kinetics and MA in Human Kinetics – With a concentration in “Sport Performance Consulting” and “Positive Living Skills for Youth”. Stefanie is a Certified Skate Canada coach and yoga teacher, and she is currently completing her Essentrics teacher training.
As a Gloucester Skating Club off-ice instructor, Stefanie’s classes are guided by the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) performance factors such as Strength, Stamina, Speed, Suppleness and Skill. She teaches skating specific Jump classes that focus on body awareness, timing, quickness, coordination, jump technique, and mental training skills. She also teaches Yoga, Strength and Stretch, Cardio (You might even find yourself running in the woods!), Rolling Myofasical release, as well as Essentrics Apprenticeship classes. All Stefanie’s classes emphasize technical precision (both in mind and body), personal rhythm, work ethic, focus, positive perspectives, and the joy of learning through movement.
