Philosophy

My goal is to help skaters fall in love with both skating and physical activity in general. I want the skaters to benefit from sport and learn the importance of hard work, how to handle success and failure, and how be active for life — all while making great friends along the way!

Professional Highlights

  • Competed at two synchronized skating world Junior Championships as a member of Burlington Ice Image; 2nd place in Sweden, 6th place in Italy;
  • Competed at seven national synchronized skating championships at the Novice, Junior, and Senior levels (highest placements; novice 1st, junior 2nd); and
  • Currently a member of Gloucester’s Fine Line adult synchronized skating team.

Interests

I am a PhD student and part-time professor at the University of Ottawa in the School of Psychology. My research specializes in sport motivation with a focus on coaches. Outside of coaching figure skating, I also teach group cycling (spinning) and my main interests include school, crossfit, cycling, working out, spending time with my friends and family, and keeping up with my own skating.
